NEW DELHI: In its bid to develop market for its product offerings, Singapore based microelectronic products provider Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd is looking forward to partnering with Indian companies on various fronts.

"The Indian economy is doing pretty well and this is the right time for us to formulate strategic partnerships in the Indian region. We are looking forward to gather partners and resources in order to get our products firmly entrenched in this market," informed Fujitsu South East Asia sales GM, Francis Tan.

Moving forward, the company would be forging partnerships in the area of automotives, security and multimedia. "We have the basic design and development capabilities with us, here we would like to partner with Indian consumer product companies to release their products with our chips. Our products can go into any consumer products like washing machines, ACs and other electronic goods," he added.

Once its Indian operations are firmed up, the company is also looking forward to having a development center in India. "Having a software development center in India has its own cost advantage. We seriously look forward to having our development facility in this part of the world but this would only happen when we have products well established in this region," Tan explained.

Firming up its global R&D activity, the company is all set to open two R&D centers. "We are just about to open two development centers at Beijing and Taiwan. These centers would work towards developing application support in the areas of ASIC, ASSP (Application Specific Standard Products) and microcontroller and microprocessor capabilities," he informed.
