Fujifilm unveils new camera Finepix J40

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Fujifilm India Pvt. Ltd., a photographic solutions company, on Thursday unveiled its latest camera Fujifilm Finepix J40.

The 20 millimeters thin, 12.2 megapixel point-and-shoot camera is easy to use and produces great images, said a press release.

“Finepix J40 is a highly anticipated digital camera from Fujifilm. It is sure to be a hit with customers who demand an easy-to-use, affordable and color loaded image,” said Kenichi Tanaka, managing director, Fujifilm India.

He added that J40 has the Panoramic Shooting Mode, a distinctive technology that captures images like never before.

A Rajkumar, country general manager, Fujifilm India said, “Being exceptionally good looking and stylish with a petite slim-line body and double coated veneer finish, the J40 makes it easy to carry and flaunt-able.”

The J40 camera comes with a core specification of 12 Megapixels, pin-sharp 3x optical zoom lens and a 3.0" LCD screen.

The Scene Recognition Auto (SR Auto) feature in the camera detects a scene without the need to pre-select a camera mode. The company has developed a technology that automatically recognizes different possible scenes - portrait, backlit portrait, night portrait, landscape, night and micro, the release added.

The camera carries different scene modes ranging from ‘flowers’ to ‘sunsets’ and automatically selects appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance according to the scene selected, the company went on.

The microthumbnail view in playback displays up to 100 thumbnails. The camera is compatible with SD/SDHC memory cards which are available in a range of 2GB to 32GB sizes, apart from an extra 10MB internal memory.
