FSS announces Intelligent Switching Solution

NEW DELHI: Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), an end-to-end communication solutions provider, announced the availability of Intelligent Switching Solution-IPv6, for Ethernet switching equipment based on Broadcom's StrataXGS III family of integrated Ethernet switch silicon solutions.

Based on the Broadcom StrataXGS III switching silicon, ISS-IPv6 is an OEM-ready pre-integrated software solution for pizza-box and chassis reference designs. The IPv6 ready switching solution offered by Broadcom and Flextronics Software Systems will address the Access and Enterprise markets. FSS' Intelligent Switching Solution-IPv6 software is an OEM-ready, standards-compliant, flexible, comprehensive switching software

solution, with Layer-2 switching and Layer-3 (IPv4 and IPv6 suites) switching capabilities.

Commenting on the announcement, Ajay Gupta, assistant vice president and

head, Products Business at Flextronics Software Systems, said, "Our

collaboration with Broadcom is a strategic step towards meeting the

growing demand for IPv6 switching, as many of our customers have already

begun transitioning to IPv6. The solution is a great fit for enterprise

applications that pack port density into modular systems for

fault-resilient network deployments".

Flextronics Software Systems' data communication products were earlier sold under the FutureSoft brand.
