Ford Japan to deploy Cognizant soln

HYDERABAD: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation has announced that it has developed a port management system for Ford to support vehicle tracking, vehicle prioritization for the pre-delivery inspection operations and efficient cost management for Ford's Japan operations.






According to the press release, Cognizant's solution reflects the business processes that Ford uses for each of its different brands. Cognizant claims that its solution provided Ford the flexibility to build the special functionality, which would not have been possible through off-the shelf IT packages.

"For the Ford solution, Cognizant's domain and technology experts combined their collective experience in automotive logistics, fleet management and transportation processes to develop an optimized solution quickly," he added.
