The remote environment provides for a suite of hosted applications, including proprietary systems specific to the law firm, as well as access security, data backup, client file archiving, and the integration of a paperless solution.

This latest contract is just another step in the wave of customers expected to explode into the cloud computing market over the next 5 years, and positions Focus Systems in the legal profession's vertical market.

While companies such as IBM focus on the large enterprise business and government sector, Focus Systems' market is targeted to the SMBs that make up a large part of the US workforce and can historically make business decisions and changes more quickly, said a press release.

Bill Wright, President of Focus Systems, Inc said, "The value proposition with cloud computing is phenomenal. People talk about going green, well it does not get any better than this for the IT world.”

“We are not only reducing the cost associated with IT for our customers, but we are reducing power costs for them, shrinking the waste hitting our landfills from old PCs being tossed out, and are ultimately reducing the carbon footprint from commuting when the percentage of remote workers increases along with their productivity," he added.
