First Indian Corporation to set up SDC in Hyd

BANGALORE: First Indian Corporation, the Indian arm of First American Corporation, America's largest data provider, announced plans to further expand and invest in India.





The expansion plans include setting up of a new software development center in Hyderabad. The company is looking to grow to 4,200 people with an approximate mix of 500 in software development, 1000 in call centers and 2700 in production and back office operations, according to a press release.

The company is also evaluating several alternatives for a third facility in the cities of Mysore, Chennai and Mangalore, the plan of which is to be finalized soon.






In addition, First Indian Corporation is currently exploring opportunities with various governmental and private sector groups for the possibility of introduction of products such as Title Insurance and Credit Reporting into the business infrastructure in India.

First American Corporation has had a strong presence in India for almost a decade now. Their endeavors in India include facilities in Bangalore and Hyderabad with close to 2,500 people at all India locations. The Indian arm provides 40 separate functions for multiple First American Companies in the United States.
