BANGALORE: Apple Computers are longer identified with only their Machintosh, their iPods sales are booming and so is their music store online. In a move to get closer to their customers, Apple has finally opened their first retail outlet in the country. The company had chosen the IT capital to roof its AppleCenter at the new Forum Mall in Bangalore.

It’s largest authorised reseller in India, Ample Technologies has opened the retail outlet keeping with the tradition of the $6.21 billion Cupertino, California based company not investing directly.

The AppleCentre would feature solutions areas with the latest Apple digital lifestyle applications. This includes digital photography, movies and music, etc. and digital lifestyle products such as digital cameras, digital camcorders and the iPod digital music player allowing visitors to create a digital photo slideshow, compile a digital music library, edit a video, burn a custom DVD and play the latest video games.

It also has a kids station with two Macs connected to the Internet and a 16-seater presentation area, where customers can watch demonstrations of Apple’s latest product innovations, take classes and attend "Basic Mac Familiarisation Training" events.

For those who want to switch to the Mac, there is a "Welcome to Mac" service specifically designed to help customers interested in switching to the Mac or upgrading their systems. The store also has a wide selection of third party hardware and software solutions for consumers, educators, students and professionals.

The hands-on AppleCentre experience also provides visitors with a chance to test-drive Apple’s entire product line including the family of iPod digital music players, as well as the full line of Apple notebooks and desktop computers.
