FINO partners with eGov Services

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Financial Information Network and Operations Ltd (FINO), financial services provider, has partnered with eGovernance Services for Common Service Centre (CSCs) projects, across Jharkhand to provide financial services through low cost technology enabled delivery channel.

According to this agreement eGov Services would deliver FINO’s microfinance offerings aggregated by CSC Infrastructure. It also makes available numerous financial products and services to citizens across Jharkhand in association with multi partner Banks and Insurance Companies partnering with FINO.

This association would enable eGov Services cover a total of 132 blocks, 17131 Villages and 3000 CSC’s by March’2008, a FINO statement said.

eGov Services would control the operations of CSCs, using innovative Smart Card based technologies provided by FINO.

Ashok Kumar, chairman, CSC Infrastructure, said, “We strongly believe that the offering of Microfinance and Banking services of FINO through CSC Infrastructure to eGovServices will help in attaining the Government’s goal of having a socially inclusive growth with our involvement through providing IT enabled telecenter infrastructure.”

The CSCs provides citizens with direct access to G2C and B2C services. With FINO, eGov Services provides B2C services through the CSCs including micro insurance, rural credit, rural banking and agri financing to citizens across the state of Jharkhand.
