FinArch launches IFRS Academy

SINGAPORE: FinArch, an international vendor of financial management software, announced the launch of IFRS Academy, a programme to assist APAC banks and financial institutions to abide to IFRS/IAS standards, in Jakarta on Tuesday. Moreover, the company had also launched a website on IFRS(International Financial Reporting Standards)/IAS (International Accounting Standards ), www.ifrsforbanks.com.

Chris Puype, COO and director, Asia, FinArch, said: "It is high time that banks buck up for IFRS. FinArch has successfully implemented several IFRS projects in Europe. Therefore, we feel that by sharing our knowledge and experience we can support APAC banks in their transition to IFRS.”

The IFRS Academy would consist of a series of workshops inorder to provide participants an insight into complexities of IFRS theory. They would also be provided practical information to better understand principles of IAS/IFRS accounting and how it differes from national GAAP standards.
