The minister, who is an active Tweeter, added that likes and comments on his Facebook page would be greatly welcomed. Tharoor, through Facebook, has been extensively sharing his constituency Thiruvananthapuram's development and welfare activities in addition to updates on his day-to-day engagements.

Reactions to Tharoor's Facebook debut have been pouring in. Capt Sudhir Dixit @dixitsudhir12, says: Nice, dynamic page and millions will be happy to see you on FB. All the best for FB, 30k is crossed. Another Twitter follower @sureshnakhua comments, "So now I can plug Congress news at two places."

In a span of few days, Tharoor's Face book page has attracted nearly 40,000 likes. "Launched Asghar Ali Engineer's (sadly posthumous) book "Jihad" at the Islamic Centre. Talked about his liberal and humanist values," Tharoor's last update on FB read.
