Facebook will now force you to download its Moments app

After forcing its users to download a separate app for using the messenger, Facebook is now urging its users to download their photo-sharing application--Moments--in order to protect their synced photos.

Facebook has set a deadline of 7th July for the users to either download their synced albums or download the ‘Moments’ application. If the deadline is breached, Facebook will delete your synced albums.

The company is notifying the users of this change via email, and as a preventive measure, the company has told users to download the application before their photos get deleted.

Photo syncing was introduced for Facebookers on iOS, where pictures can be synced and a copy of which can be kept on the social network, making it easier to find and share with your friends later.

But, Facebook killed the photo syncing feature on 10th of January 2016 and urged the users, who wish to continue enjoying the features of the photo sync service, can download its Moments app.
