F5 Networks Joins BEA SOA Center of Innovation

SINGAPORE: F5 Networks, a player in Application Delivery Networking, has announced it has provided BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) for the BEA Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Center of Innovation. In this testing and validation facility, F5 will work closely with BEA public sector and commercial customers who are developing applications and services using BEA technologies. The center can help customers more easily adopt SOA, the success of which relies heavily on network performance and availability.

"Our new SOA Center of Innovation combines the best in BEA's enterprise infrastructure software with leading Application Delivery Networking technologies, and F5 was an obvious choice," said Jay Colavita, Solutions Engineering Director with BEA Government Systems, "We respect the dedication and achievements of F5 in the areas of application security, speed, and accessibility, and believe our customers will be similarly impressed."

The new BEA Center of Innovation, located in McLean, Virginia, combines an SOA demonstration center, collaborative SOA learning environment, and SOA Research and Development Lab. As an extension of the long-standing partnership between F5 and BEA, the SOA Center of Innovation provides mutual and prospective customers with the opportunity to test and evaluate solutions specific to their own business needs.
