Payment solutions company, Ezetap has launched EzeSmart touted to be India’s first open-platform, GPRS/3G/4G terminal enabled with Aadhaar pay and eKYC, that delivers a superior digital payment experience.

Digital transactions have been on the upswing over the last two years with the introduction of multiple, India-specific payment instruments like Unified Payment Interface (UPI), Bharat QR and Aadhaar Pay. EzeSmart, which runs on Ezetap’s universal payment acceptance platform, is the first POS terminal in the country capable of accepting all payment modes including UPI, Bharat QR and Aadhaar Pay.

It can also support payment acceptance from multiple mobile wallets along with credit and debit cards. It is a smartphone integrated terminal which enables businesses to run any of their system applications on the device.

EzeSmart enables a person with an Aadhaar linked bank account to transact conveniently, just by the touch of one’s finger on the fingerprint sensor of the device. This enables micro-finance institutions that use this terminal to service their rural customers and collect payments digitally.

Ezesmart is already in use at BigBasket. “We wanted a smartphone integrated terminal to increase digital transactions in our business. This terminal works seamlessly with our in-house app and delivers a smooth experience to our customers. At Big Basket, we are constantly striving to better customer experience and I believe this is a significant step in that direction,” said VS Ramesh – Co-Founder and Chief Project Officer of BigBasket.
