INDIA: Some latest data reveals Twitter is enjoying the momentum that cricket fever transfers during major events.

It seems that 89 per cent of Twitter users are cricket fans and 84 per cent of cricket fans on Twitter are intending to follow the Cricket World Cup with 66 per cent expected to maintain or increase their Twitter activity.

As per Twitter research data around the CWC 2015 - 'Cricket World Cup: Stay in the Game with Twitter', Cricket World Cup fans on Twitter are young and on top of the game and data shows that 74 per cent of cricket fans on Twitter are under 35 years old. Some 88 per cent of cricket fans on Twitter followed the #AUSvsIND Test Series and the site enjoys that Cricket World Cup fans on Twitter are active participants. About 54 per cent of the Cricket World Cup fans will Tweet during games whereas 68 per cent of the of the Cricket World Cup fans will Tweet to cheer for their team showing that Cricket World Cup fans engage more during specific moments in the match.
