Everonn Systems bags Rs 91.87 cr deal from UP govt

MUMBAI, INDIA: Everonn Systems India has bagged an order worth Rs 91.87 crore from the state government of Uttar Pradesh. Everonn Systems would provide computer education and computer-enabled education for students in 1099 schools in the state, spread across four zones including Varanasi, Allahabad, Faizabad and Agra.

The order, based on the Build-Operate-Own-Transfer (BOOT) model, is for a period of five years. P Kishore, MD, Everonn Systems India, said, "This agreement with the state of Uttar Pradesh is a landmark moment for all of us at Everonn Systems. Given that our focus is on enabling access to education for all, it is extremely heartening when state governments partner with us to provide computer-based education in the schools in their respective states."

He added that their experience in the past has shown that students in UP are extremely diligent and receptive to new forms of learning. They are extremely honored to partner with the directorate of secondary education, Uttar Pradesh, for this turnkey project.

The project would see supply of hardware, software, teacher-training modules and maintenance regime. Everonn Systems with this contract increases its presence to close to 1,500 schools in the state. It would reach out to over 6, 60, 000 students across 1,099 schools, for standards 6 to12, with the new order win.
