Having entered the Indian market in 2002-03, Singapore-based eSys Information Technologies Ltd is quite bullish on the business potential in the country.

According to R. Govindan, CEO, eSys, “We provide an entire range of hardware components to resellers and system integrators. Besides we have effectively assembled range of products on our own-brand name and are faring well in the market. Foreseeing great demand for notebooks, we intend to come up with our own-brand of laptops shortly. Presently, for the laptop range we have MVAD (Mobile Value Added Distributor) program initiated by Intel. But we are exploring the possibility of coming with own brand in laptops too with a viable price range in the coming month.”

At the moment, eSys intends to concentrate more on B & C class cities and are initiating numerous roadshows to attract the resellers and SI's. In the last month itself they have organized roadshows in ten B & C class cities covering varied regions to increase awareness about our products. They are gearing up to expand interior regions too.

eSys has also set up a 25-seater call center two months ago to address and clarify various clarifications for resellers and SIs, they will be extending their services to the customers too. “Channel partners are a major source for promoting our brand and so we are of the belief that if we provide all assistance required to them on a timely basis, our presence would be further strengthened in the market,as they will be able to handle customer queries.” Said, R. Govindan.

This call center that is presently offering product details, queries, schemes running besides technical support, is slated to become a 24/7 operation with the increased seater-capacity to 100 shortly. Also, the technical support service that is at the moment provided for channels would also be extended for the customers.

eSys will train the channel community to make them more comfortable with their product platform.

“Above all, pricing is one other key aspect that should be taken into consideration. Keeping in mind that quality doesn't come with price, we have to consider various configurations, targeted segment and then aim at the market,” added,Govindan.
