eScan updates new security feature

MUMBAI, INDIA: eScan, a provider in security solutions, today announced that it has released eScan Rescue Disk File Creation option.

Using this, users can create the eScan Rescue Disk that will help them to clean boot their computers to scan and clean infected windows systems from Rootkits and file infectors that cannot be cleaned in the normal Windows mode.

The Rescue Disk File creation feature is easy to use and the windows based bootable CD/DVD with the ISO image file can be created by following the eScan Rescue Disk File creation wizard.

Govind Ramamurthy, CEO and MD, eScan said, “Cleaning Rootkits and file infectors were always a problem as they infect critical Windows system files or hide beneath the Windows Operating System layer. With the eScan Rescue Disk, users can easily clean boot their PC and clean their system.”

He added that they have introduced this Rescue Disk feature from the recently released eScan Version 10.0.1058.657 and above. This feature is one of the few Windows based rescue disk and presents users with an easy to use standard Windows interface to clean infections and also to troubleshoot problems in the operation system.

The eScan Rescue Disk is available for all Windows operating systems above Windows 2000, including Windows 7.
