Ericsson powers Airtel's 3G network with 21Mbps

BANGALORE, INDIA: Networking equipment vendor Ericsson announced that it has deployed its core and radio technology to support telecom service provider Bharti Airtel's 3G services in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR).

The company claims that the network, which was deployed in five months, will enable Airtel to serve 7.6 million customers in those regions with speeds up to 21 Mbps even in indoor environments.
