Epson retains leadership in projector sales

BANGALORE, INDIA: Epson, a provider in digital imaging, said it has won global recognition for its sales of 3-Chip Liquid Crystal Display (3LCD) projectors from Futuresource Consulting Ltd, a definitive research firm for the projector market worldwide.

According to Futuresource, Epson has been the global leader in projector sales for eight consecutive years, said a press release. Epson’s market share has grown from 17.61 per cent in 2007 to 20.62 per cent market share of the digital projectors market worldwide, it added.

Quoting Futuresource Epson also said that in South and Southeast Asia, Epson 3LCD projectors lead the market with 15.2 per cent share of a highly fragmented market of more than 30 competing brands. In India Epson is the market leader too as per internal company estimates.

“Sales and presentation applications, which are the fastest growing applications in the business and institutional markets, will continue to be the major driving force for the growth for Epson 3LCD projectors,” says Tushad Talati – head, Brand and Communication at Epson India.

“As a technology leader in India, Epson remains firmly committed to our mission of exceeding expectations by launching more cutting-edge digital imaging solutions this year,” he added.
