Epson intros Micro Piezo printers for SMEs

BANGALORE, INDIA: Epson, a digital imaging and printing solutions provider, has launched the Epson Stylus Office range in India.

The new Epson Stylus Office T30, T40W, TX300F and TX600FW are Epson’s latest business printers which are engineered specifically to meet the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In addition the high speed document scanner market will also be addressed with the launch of two sheet fed scanners, the Epson GT-S80 and GT-S50.

Epson believes that the launch of the Epson Stylus  Office will be able to help SMBs to maximize value from every print through its laser-like speed, laser-like print quality and innovative multi-function features at a reduced cost.

According to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India there are approximately 13.2 million SME’s in India.

Laser-like quality and speed

Epson’s new Micro Piezo print head delivers perfectly spherical dots with high precision dot placement, delivering laser-quality image resolutions of up to 5,760 by 1,440 dots-per-inch (dpi).

With this new print head that sports 360 nozzles per inch (as compared to 180 nozzles previously), SMEs are able to achieve an increased printing speed - at laser default quality - of up to 2 pages per second. Combined with Epson’s DurabriteTM Ultra, resin-coated pigment inks, prints from the Epson StylusTM Office dry instantly; in addition, they are both water and smudge resistant, ensuring superior archivability.

Enhanced functionality

A wireless network connectivity feature has been engineered in selected models of the Epson Stylus Office, enabling SMEs to print their documents from virtually anywhere in the office. This optimizes use of space and eliminates the need for messy wiring. Connecting multiple workstations to one shared printer also offers savings to businesses at a time of escalating operational expenses.

Low cost of ownership

Through the line, Epson Stylus Office printers are equipped Epson’s economical INKdividual cartridge system. This enables SMEs to replace only the colour that has run out instead of changing full ink sets. Bundled with selected models of the Epson StylusTM Office printer is a new extra high capacity black ink cartridge. It is able to deliver up to 4 times more pages than previous cartridge models, saving SMEs up to 50 percent of total ink costs.

Another cost saving appeal of the Epson StylusTM Office is its low power consumption requirements. Based on tests from Epson American Inc, Epson StylusTM Office consumes 3 times less energy than conventional laser printers.
