Enterprises don't want technology, but solutions

PUNE, INDIA: Immediacy and business impact. These two factors seem to be the top deliverables that enterprises would be ready to invest for even in a downbeat market. Vendors therefore are ready to come up with completely new and bold strategies and solutions.

Country head for Zensar, Lavanya Jayaram says that Zensar would have a fresh strategy and accentuated focus on Indian market, with a plan to hit Rs100 crore in three years. "Government and Education would be two sectors of focus for us." So far its Indian focus was more on large enterprises and MNCs with retail etc as stronger domains.

The company is also experimenting a new proposition called impact sourcing, whereby it proposes to impact profit numbers to the tune of ten per cent in a span of ten months. So far applied successfully on a few global enterprises, the strategy of impact sourcing would now be tried in Indian market too.

It's not just about the question of how an enterprise can immediately optimize costs but also the question that 'Are we cutting costs at the expense of future growth, as Zensar stresses. Today enterprises need not just a technology provider but someone with a real business solution, that fits and solves stuff in today's challenging scenario, explains head honcho Ganesh Natarajan.
