DUBLIN: Most of the buzz in virtualization is around server virtualization - running multiple operating systems on top of a single physical server. However, there is increasing interest in endpoint virtualization - a broad term that includes many different desktop virtualization and application virtualization technologies aimed at abstracting the end-user experience - typically their logical desktop, application, and/or workspace environments - from the physical systems they rely on to provide that experience, which are usually a physical desktop or laptop PC.
