Poviding details about the EMC Transformation Coach, Rajesh Janey, president, India & SAARC, EMC, said: "We are doing it because it is a buliding block for growth in the mid market. We have an opportunity to grow this market further. So far, we have seen good response. We are now going to engage with 500+ customers across seven cities of India. This is a state-of-the-art lounge."

The Transformation Coach starts off from Mumbai. The final destination ends on New Dellhi on 31st March, 2014. The cities that it will be visiting include Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Delhi.

Janey added: "We are going to demo technologies using the VLAB. The overall EBC program is customized. We try to be as relevant to the customer. There is a web site, where companies can register for each city. Mostly, technical people will be there on the bus during customer visits. The bus will showcase mid-market products largely."

Coming to India and China he said that mobility is now a huge focus. Smartphone sales and mobile data have doubled in the past one year. Enterprises are looking at how they can make use of the employed devices. Trust forms a basic foundation.

EMC's outlook is: let's work with the customers. In the last one to two years, the CIO's work is being linked with business outcome. What's helping EMC grow - one, it has a portfolio that's compelling. Two, it has a great set of partners. Three - it's own team.

"We are confident this initiative will help us grow," Janey concluded.
