EMC, NMAMIT to host ICSST at Mangalore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Information infrastructure solutions EMC recently announced that it is organizing the International Conference and Symposium on Storage Technologies (ICSST) with NMAM Institute of Technology, NITTE in Mangalore on December 3-4, 2008.

The conference aims to bring together industry experts and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results on all aspects of information storage and management, said a press release.

Tom Clancy, EMC’s global vice president for education services and productivity, will deliver the keynote address.

The conference would include a mix of technical sessions, paper presentations and panel discussions on topics including, ‘The Evolution of Storage’, ‘Remote Infrastructure Management’, ‘Enhancing Employability’, ‘Emerging Technologies and Opportunities in Storage’, ‘Industry Relevant Training in Academia’ and ‘Information Security’.

“In the age of information explosion, organizations are looking for professionals who understand how to store, protect, manage and leverage information for competitive advantage, and we are pleased to partner with NITTE for this conference to bridge the industry – academia knowledge gap,” said Alok Ohrie, president EMC India and SAARC.
