Elon Musk replaces the Twitter bird logo to a Doge meme

Elon Musk has changed the twitter’s blue bird logo to a Doge meme around 10.55 pm IST on April 3, 2023. In the past, Musk has expressed support for dogecoin and is even involved in a legal battle around it, according to reports.

Musk took control of the social media giant in a $44 billion deal last year. Twitter's blue bird is now replaced by the Shiba Inu dog meme, which is also the logo of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The change in the logo is only visible on the web browser of Twitter, and not on the app. Twitter has seen swift changes ever since its takeover by Elon Musk in October last year.

After changing Twitter’s logo, Musk shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with a Twitter user before he took over the company and captioned it "as promised". The screenshots contains an old conversation in which Musk asks if there is a need for a new platform, to which the user suggests that Musk should instead buy Twitter and replace the blue bird logo with a Doge.

Notably, This change comes just after Musk petitioned in court for the dismissal of a 258 billion dollar lawsuit filed against him by Dogecoin investors for allegedly promoting Dogecoin in an illegal pyramid scheme style.

Twitter has been flooded with memes about the logo change.

This is not the first time when Musk has come up with a change, he has been doing so since he took over the company last October.  Recenlty, Twitter also announced that as of April 1, the company will end its old verified program, meaning that users will have to pay $8 per month for the coveted blue checkmarks.
