Elan has landed more orders for touch screen IC and module solutions, with order visibility extending into the first half of 2010, DigiTimes said quoting market analysts. Elan is a major supplier of touch screen ICs for High Tech Computer (HTC)'s Magic. The company’s ICs have also been selected for the vendor's new model Leo.

With this development of significance, the IC designer is all set to see its revenues for the fourth quarter most likely to come on par with the third. Even if it reduces, the fall is likely to be only insignificantly small. The recent orders would make sure that is revenues for year 2010 will significantly rise, the analysts have predicted.

The current scenario is also aiding the company to go for more. The report pointed out that Elan is looking to add 1-2 notebook customers for its notebook touch screen product line by the end of 2009. At the same time, existing customers of the likes of Asustek Computer, Gigabyte Technology, Micro-Star International (MSI) and Dell would stay on with it. On another front, Elan will begin shipping GPS applications-related products to a Japan-based company in the fourth quarter.
