eInfochips sets up Bangalore design centre

AHMEDABAD: eInfochips announced setting up of its design centre in Bangalore. The design center will enable the company to expand its leadership position in the silicon design and verification market. The growing importance of Bangalore as hub of captive design centers for large semiconductor companies with increased outsourcing requirements and large availability of talent pool makes it attractive to set up the design center in Bangalore. The new design center is spread over an area of 6,200 sq feet will house more than 50 engineers by end of 2007, eInfochips plans to increase the number to 250 engineers by 2010.

Currently eInfochips employs over 600 engineers across its 4 design centers in Ahmedabad and 2 design centers in Pune. In the US, the company has offices in Sunnyvale, CA, Austin,TX, Chicago, Boston and New Jersey. It also started its operations in Japan about a year ago by opening a Japan subsidiary- Japan KK.  For other locations the company has appointed representatives and dealers in Taiwan, Korea, Israel, UK and the USA who are responsible for representing our products and services in the marketplace.

eInfochips generated  $15 Million in revenues in the financial year 06-07 and is targeting 50 per cent growth in 2007-8.
