eInfochips expands International operations

eInfochips announced the setting up of their Chicago operations and Japan subsidiary: eInfochips KK.

eInfochips KK will mark eInfochips' foray in Asian markets and enable the company to address the growing demand for electronic design services from large semiconductor and system design companies in Japan and the Chicago operations will enable eInfochips to reach out to customer situated in the mid west region of US. eInfochips further plans to enter markets like Korea and Taiwan in south east Asia.

"Semi-conductor consumption in Japan accounts for 26 percent of the $200 billion sales worldwide. Some of world's top semiconductor companies and consumer electronics firms are based in Japan and are outsourcing from India and we are hopeful that 15 percent of our revenue in 2006-07 will be generated from Japan" said Pratul Shroff, President and CEO of eInfochips Ltd on Tuesday.

"Chicago being hot bed of technology companies will enable us to reach out to customer situated in the mid west region of US. By escalating our presence in USA we plan to win and increase our customer base in ASIC, Embedded and application software services to achieve our targeted 80% YOY growth." Shroff added.

eInfochips has entered into a strategic tie-up with Cubic Micro, a leading International Manufacturer's Representative and RF Design Services company, for its Japan operations. Cubic Micro provides major international semiconductor companies with support in sales, marketing, consulting and RF Design Services.

Richard Nakajima, CEO Cubic Micro, said "We are excited to partner eInfochips. With our complementary skills sets, we together look forward to bagging larger customer deals in Japan."

"The partnership with Cubic Micro will allow us to penetrate the Japanese market quickly. We have been preparing for this day and have not only trained Indian engineers in Japanese language, but also familiarized them extensively with Japanese culture and business etiquette," adds Shroff.

eInfochips has also strengthened the top management team across the globe by appointing Industry experts like Dr. Praveen Bhatia and Mr. Sukanta Mitra to head the Japan and Chicago operations respectively.
