Ecrio receives US patents for LTE real time communications client

CUPERTINO, USA: Ecrio, the LTE real time communications client software provider announced the issuance by the US Patent and Trademark Office of two patents that cover communication device architecture targeting 3GPP standards-compliant IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) devices.

The patent, entitled "Real Time Communication Client Architecture", (US 8,639,253) was issued on January 28, 2014. The patented method covers the distributed architecture of IMS based software clients among Application and Modem Processors.

The second patent, entitled "System, Method and Apparatus for Controlling Multiple Applications and Services on a Digital Electronic Device" (US 8,613,002) was issued on Dec 17, 2013. This patented method enables multiple IMS services to be active simultaneously using a single IMS Stack.
