Barely three days after buying Israeli startup SalesPredict that uses advanced analytics to predict customer buying behavior and sales conversions, eBay has announced another acquisition Ticket Utils, a company that built a system for managing the distribution of tickets to multiple services. eBay will be incorporating the technology into its subsidiary StubHub, with which Ticket Utils is already integrated.

“Ticket Utils is already a favorite among ticket sellers because of its ease, reliability and multi-device accessibility,” eBay wrote in a blog post. With this acquisition, StubHub will enable large sellers on StubHub to enjoy a best-in-class solution for inventory management, ticket distribution, and internationalization of their inventory. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Ticket Utils also supports multiple currencies and language, which will enable sellers to operate more effectively in international markets and take advantage of StubHub’s significant global expansion through the planned acquisition of Ticketbis.

eBay has been on an acquisition spree in recent time aiming to transform itself into a structured online marketplace that can better take on Amazon and other large online retailers. At the time of SalesPredict acquisition, eBay had said that it builds on a recently completed acquisition of Expertmaker, which offers predictive analytics and personalization powered by artificial intelligence.

Ticket Utils started in 2010 and is based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. StubHub announced its plans to become a primary ticketing platform earlier this year.
