Durga Infotech unveils correspondence management SW

CHENNAI: Durga Infotech, a new entrant in the IT business and part of Durga

Enterprises (a Rs 30 crore turnover company), has launched its first

indigenously developed software for complete correspondence management in

organizations.

Called CorreZone, the software helps users in organizing and assisting any

correspondence taking place both at internal and external levels. "It is a

complete communication management software making desk job easier and perfectly

organized. It also minimizes communication time with certain pre-set formats and

pre-configured details, selecting it just at a click of the mouse," said

Bishnu Sultania, managing partner, Durga Infotech.

The software maintains full details of correspondence and classifies them

based on category. It also maintains statistics and helps in tracking the past

correspondence details.

"The software is built using Visual Basic and is compatible with all

Windows platform. It also supports MS Access, MS-SQL Server, MSDE Database.

Oracle compatible version would be released shortly," he said.

Durga Infotech is in the process of appointing regional distributors across

the country to market the product to end-customers. "We will appoint two to

three distributors in each region, who will have a network of dealers under

them," said Sultania.

After establishing a market here, the company would take the product to Tamil

Nadu. "By mid-2002, the product will go commercial across South India and

consequently reach national level," he explained.

The company has set a target of pushing 1,000 packages in the first quarter

of its launch, 2,000 in the second quarter and 4,000 in the third. "The

single-user version is priced Rs 9,500 and five-user at Rs 18,000, while 10-user

will cost Rs 28,625," he quipped. Customers buying product before March

2002 would get a free upgrade offer on all forthcoming versions of this

software.
