MUMBAI: India's DSQ Software Ltd. is in talks to acquire a US-based software
firm that offers systems integration services, a DSQ spokesman told Reuters.
Systems integrators typically help corporates to manage their computer networks
and design solutions to make them compatible for different software
applications.
The spokesman declined to give details. He said that DSQ Software was likely
to complete its proposed acquisition of another US-based e-commerce services
provider San Vision Technology Inc by March. DSQ had said in July last year that
it would acquire San Vision for $30 million in stock but said later in December
it was renegotiating the purchase price, following the steep fall in valuations
of tech stocks.
"We expect to wrap up the deal in another two weeks," he said. DSQ
Software's shares ended down 0.39 per cent at
Rs 421.75, while the benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange index closed 0.47 per cent
up.
