DSQ, LG-EDS in tie-up

CHENNAI: DSQ Software, headquartered in Chennai, has signed a memorandum of

understanding with LG-EDS, the software solutions provider headquartered at

Seoul, and part of LG. This would allow DSQ to use its partners know-how and

expertise in winning orders in a competitive climate while LG-EDS can access the

world market through DSQ's global marketing network.

LG-EDS focuses mainly in the areas of IT consulting, E-business services,

system integration services, systems management services and technical

professional services.

"We have been searching for a suitable partner for internationalizing

our solutions and services and we found in DSQ Software Ltd. an ideal partner.

Their international marketing infrastructure with technology skills will bring a

new dimension to our business plans," said LG-EDS acting director- business

development Y C Kim.

"The agreement with LG-EDS adds tremendous domain knowledge to DSQ's

project execution capability. This association takes us into the big league and

puts us in a competitive position to participate in complex government bids

worldwide in a big way," said DSQ Software vice president -application

systems group Indrajit Gupta.

DSQ, assessed at SEI - CMM level 5 with ISO 9001 Certification, has four

offshore centers in India, and four offsite centers, one each in USA, UK,

Singapore and Middle East, with a total resources strength of over 61700.

With about 5000 technical staff and a client base of over 1400 in Korea and

overseas, LG-EDS had registered a revenue of $ 647 million in the financial year

2000.
