DSOA holds talks with Intel

DUBAI, UAE: His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), along with Dr. Mohammed Al Zarouni, Vice-Chairman and CEO of DSOA, received Paul Otellini, Chief Executive Officer of Intel Corp, in the offices of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed at the Dubai International Airport.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed and Paul Otellini explored possible collaborations between Emirates airlines and the Dubai airports; leveraging Intel’s advanced IT solutions and services.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarouni briefed Intel’s CEO on the advantages and facilities offered by Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority as a high-technology park for the microelectronics and semiconductor industry. Talks also focused on possible areas of cooperation between DSO and Intel, which could benefit from the investment incentives and attractive opportunities offered by the Oasis.

Paul Otellini commended the DSO’s pioneering role in providing a state-of-the-art enabling environment for technology-intensive global majors seeking to extend their footprint in the region.

Dubai Silicon Oasis is a free zone technology park for semiconductor, microelectronics and other high technology-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and R&D facilities in the Middle East and North Africa region.
