DRDO Dare to Dream 2.0: Last Date for Submissions Extended till 15th November 2020

In the latest announcement, DRDO has extended the last date of submission for the Dare to Dream Season 2 to November 15 from October 15!

DRDO DARE TO DREAM 2.0

DRDO had organised the Dare to Dream Season 2 that began August 16. It was an open challenge to promote the country’s innovators and startups. The winners will be decided after due evaluation by the expert committee. A cash award of up to 10 lakh for Startups and 5 lakh for individuals will be given to winners. In the latest announcement, DRDO has extended the last date of submission to November 15! We know that the theme of this challenge is innovation in the defence and aerospace technologies.

The Science and Technology areas for the Contest are (i) Armament Technology (ii) Electronics Technology (iii) Micro Technology and Cyber Security (iv)Naval Technology (v) System Modelling and Analysis (vi) Life Science and Technology (vii) Aeronautical Technology and (viii)Aerospace Engineering

• Detection and classification of a low probability of intercept radar signals for electronic support systems.

• Materials and technologies for fire suppression or protection.

• Eco-friendly explosive waste management.

• Artificial intelligence-based detection of a person based on physiological parameters.

• Development of robotic arm for scooping/machining of cured solid propellant (shore ‘A’ Hardness≥70).

• Development of neuromorphic vision sensors (design, fabrication of sensors and image reconstruction algorithms).

• Underwater MEMS acoustic vector sensor.

• Distributed fibre optic sensor interrogator.

• Data-driven health monitoring and early warning diagnostic tools for aero gas turbine engines.

• Low powered tethered UAV.

• Open category: Exploring the unthinkable and unimaginable.

How to apply for the challenge?

You can participate as an individual or a startup. Just submit a write up online, either in Hindi or English. You can make submissions in at most five areas of challenges. The write-up should be of 200 words for each challenge. Convert it into a PDF file of less than 2 MB and submit it.
