Dr. Erich Buerkler appointed new DishnetDSL CEO

BANGALORE: DishnetDSL has announced the appointment of Dr. Erich Buerkler as Chief Executive Officer and Director, effective from May 1, 2000. According to a release, Dr. Buerkler shall have the total responsibility for the operation of DishnetDSL Limited.

Dr. Buerkler has more than 16 years of experience, of which 12 years have been in the Telecom field. He brings with him vast experience in finance, marketing, sales, project execution, VPN and general management. Dr. Buerkler has also the dual advantage of having worked for a European multinational namely Swisscom as well as having managed an Indian joint venture at Delhi for cellular telephony in his capacity as managing director and CEO. Dr. Buerkler holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Berne and also a Master's Degree in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands.
