"The allotment of spectrum on completion of 3G auction will be as per schedule given in Memorandum of Understanding," an official statement said here.

The statement was in reference to reports in a few business newspapers that the winners of the ongoing 3G spectrum auctions may not get airwaves by September as assured by the government, and they may have to wait longer than expected as the defence forces may not be able to vacate the necessary spectrum by then.

The statement also said that the advanced purchase orders for access network of navy and backbone network of defence, including access network of army, are likely to be issued by the end of July.
