Don't miss IPL 5, even in a traffic jam

BANGALORE, INDIA: Suppose you are rushing back home from work by your car to watch a high-intensity match between your favorites at the Indian Premier league (IPL) T20 tournament, only to see the 'unbearable' traffic on the streets. A lot of vehicles have piled up on the road, so much so that you are not even able to move your four wheeler a bit, let alone getting back home. What can you do?

Don't you have any option, but to bite your nails and curse other vehicles for blocking your way?

Hold on. A Mumbai-based in-vehicle infotainment company — avaniTV Solutions Private Limited — has come up with a product that can be installed in your car, so that you can watch IPL twenty20 while your are on the move.

“avaniTV empowers in-car entertainment to provide entertainment on the move, over the 3G/EVDO-based high speed mobile broadband network,” explained Indranil Maitra, V-P- Content, Creative and MarCom at avaniTV Solutions. “A customer, who wants to watch a live match while on the go, can connect to a 3G Data Modem in his/her car equipped with a TV screen in it.”

The avaniTV gets connected to the screens (headrest/front panel/roof top). The power supply for the functioning of this system comes from the cigarette lighter connection in the car and the audio can be connected to the Aux In. The Set-Top Box delivers audio and video experience and integrates it with the car audio and LCD display.

“It is built to allow the viewer to watch live TV, blockbuster movies, YouTube videos and Internet radio inside their car while they are commuting,” he adds.

avaniTV has tied up with Indiatimes.com to provide live-streaming of IPL season 5. “The overall response has been excellent so far, as ours is the only platform consisting of all genres of content,” he says.

It also brings live entertainment, information and interactivity to help its customers come alive with everyday travel. The company empowers in-car entertainment aimed at providing entertainment on the move over the 3G/EVDO based high-speed mobile broadband network.
