Indian educational ecosystem woke up with several expectations from Budget 2022 on Tuesday morning. In answer to that, Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance minister, stressed on one class, one educational channel, and she also proposed one TV channel to facilitate education for the children to cope with the COVID-19 situation. Furthermore, FM has introduced a Digital University project, while highlighting that establishing a world-class teaching system will transform the education eco-chain.

The Indian finance minister stated that digital delivery in education from the e-Vidya project can boost classes 1-12 grade. A hybrid model of high-quality e-content will benefit all spoken Indian languages students. It displayed a bigger picture of the learning sector. Distribution of learning and teaching modules with integrated deliverance methods will be via mobile, TV, radio, and digital platforms.

"The budget has strategically allocated funds to initiatives, like the launch of the Digital DESH e-portal that will encourage skill development and promote an innovative culture by introducing high-quality e-content in all spoken languages. It will be developed for delivery via the internet, mobile phones, television, radio, and digital teachers. Giving another motivation to the pandemic-affected education sector, the PM e-VIDYA scheme's 'one class, one TV channel' program will be expanded from 12 television channels to 200 channels to supply radio and DTH channels to students who do not have an internet connection to decrease the widening gap in accessing education. Also, these initiatives mentioned above, proposed in the Budget, 2022, will generate more employment opportunities for individuals”, Ratnesh Jha, CEO, India and South-East Asia, The Burlington Group of Companies.

A Digital University will provide core access to students across the nation. Furthermore, she added that ICT experts prioritize student-centric study modules and technical tools. It will escalate a personalised experience for all multi-lingual speaking students. Based on a network model, it will strengthen the digital education sector. In collaboration with the hub and spoke, public universities will work as a networking satellite.

By adopting the e-Vidya model, the Indian education ecosystem will initiate a distinguished reform. Cutting-edge tech tools will increase the capability of a world-class learning technique. Regional languages can impart as a learning and teaching bridge between the teacher and student. Digital literacy will help young minds to build advanced skills. This tech-savvy budget underlined a skill-development model that will transform the STEM courses. A prospect of digital budget chiefly focuses on the virtual learning landscape. Installing 750 virtual labs in science and mathematics, and 75 skilling e-Labs will enable the young aspirants to become future-ready.
