Digital Globalsoft net profit drops marginally

BANGALORE: Digital Globalsoft Ltd., the Indian bourses listed subsidiary of Hewlett Packard, has posted 4 percent drop in its net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal. The company's total revenue increased by 17 percent increase for the period.



The net profit touched Rs 21.37 crore against Rs 22.29 crore posted during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Total revenue for the quarter ending September 30, 2002 was Rs 97.91 against Rs 83.58 crore for the corresponding period of last year.



The diluted earnings per share for the company has come down to Rs 6.42 during the quarter against Rs 6.81 posted during the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year.



Revenue from software services increased from Rs 80.73 crore during the quarter of last year to Rs 93.82 crore posted during the quarter ended September 30, 2002. Significantly, Digital Globalsoft also made a small amount of Rs 1.05 crore from software products during the quarter.
