Dhanlaxmi Bank bags CSI's IT award

MUMBAI, INDIA: Dhanlaxmi Bank, a Kerala-based mid-size private sector bank, has been presented the CSI Award 2011 by the Computer Society of India (CSI) for achieving excellence in IT.

The bank has been awarded for using IT to achieve significant organizational expertise and competitiveness, said a press release.

CSI, the largest association of IT professionals in the country, annually confers CSI Awards to encourage innovation and indigenous development in the field of information technology for organizations operating across various sectors.

In the Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industry, among the 22 organizations which participated, Dhanlaxmi was amongst the six which were short-listed. The bank was recognized for implementing innovative projects critical in nature for improvement of customer service, operational efficiency and return of investment.

“We have always believed in deploying enterprise solutions to aid organizational excellence. This CSI Award bears testimony to our commitment in implementing solutions critical for the overall business,” said Muralidharan R, COO, Dhanlaxmi Bank.

Last month, the bank was also conferred with the EDGE Award 2011 by New-York headquartered InformationWeek’s India unit for using IT to transform its technology infrastructure and maximize business impact.
