CHENNAI, INDIA: IT-BPO industry has put India in the world map today. But with other nations posing competition, companies are moving up the value chain and beginning to fix their eyes on the demand side of business processes.
Dexterity, the Chennai-based IT and KPO entity that has specialized in research and analytics segments, has leapt beyond the KPO business.
Concentrating on the demand side
Pundits believe that the next aim of Indian outsourcing companies would be to attain domain expertise and Dexterity CEO and chairman Anantha Krishnan agrees: “If you look at outsourcing industry, demand side would create the next wave.”
Traditionally, Indian outsourcing entities have always focused on offering support functions such as finance, IT and HR, thereby reducing the costs, but not anymore.
“Indian companies would now look at areas such as market research which falls under the demand side and that would lead to the growth of topline for companies and today we are seeing companies spending about $1 trillion a year on activities that are on the demand side,” says Krishnan.
Solutions for all
Dexterity offers its solutions in analytics, MRO, Data Management and Insight space. It offers solutions that effectively bring down the turnaround time.
Under the analytics domain, the company offers a host of models from cross selling models to retention models to put forth a complete range of solutions in front of the customer.
The company has caricatured a distinctive end-to-end Customer Insight offering that brings together Marketing Automation, Customer Data Management and Customer Analytics.
The MCDM (Marketing and Customer Data Management) offers a holistic insight to the consumer in their business-based decisions.
With its revenues tripling in the last three years, Dexterity looks at agility with a premise.
In Krishnan’s words, the company looks to strengthen its presence in the marketing and customer Informatics segment.
“It’s a sizeable market which stands at $32 billion. The expertise that we bring to the table would help us to tap this market and deliver end-to-end solutions for our client’s business.”
With a solution to back its vision of becoming a global leader in the marketing and customer informatics domain, Dexterity is arming itself to outsourcing organizations that would be banking on domain expertise as its forte.
