CAMPBELL, USA: PushToTest, the open source application performance management and test automation solutions company has released TestMaker 5.3 for immediate download.
PushToTest designed TestMaker 5.3 to deliver new features for Open Source Testing (OST) in Cloud Testing, Rich Internet Application (RIA) Testing using Ajax, Flex, Flash, and Root Cause Analysis using Glassbox.
"TestMaker 5.3's Cloud Testing features test operation cost reductions by moving tests onto inexpensive test equipment that scales up to millions of virtual simulated load test users on demand," said Frank Cohen, CEO and Founder at PushToTest. "TestMaker does all the work in a cloud environment for you, including handling initiation and termination of test injectors (TestNodes) in the cloud automatically."
According to the IDC report on Cloud Computing technology (October 2008) customer spending on IT cloud services (business applications, application development/deployment, system infrastructure software, storage and servers) will grow almost threefold by 2012, to $42 billion.
When Cohen was asked about their new OnDemand features, he stated, "Organizations pay a low annual fee to bring TestMaker into their environment. PushToTest Global Services experts build the first test and then train the technical team on how to build their own tests. The organization only pays for the testing they actually do." Cohen announced immediate TestMaker support for popular cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (EC2,) GoGrid, and Collab.net Lab Manager (Cubit.)
PushToTest offers TestMaker in two editions: TestMaker Community and TestMaker Enterprise.
