TOKYO, JAPAN: Seiko Epson Corporation has announced its intent to actively support the Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft Corp. Epson has further advanced its products to align harmoniously with the various technologies in Windows 7, providing the richest experience yet of any of the Windows operating systems.
Whats new in Windows 7 operating system?
Developed with keen attention to user feedback, Windows 7 targets the enhancement of basic PC functions by incorporating a redesigned Windows Shell with a new taskbar, support for a more intuitive user interface through multi-touch support, an enhanced device and hardware interaction technology called Device Stage, and an easily constructible home networking system called HomeGroup, among other performance improvements.
Ikuaki Kitabayashi, general manager, Epson's Planning and Design Department said: "One of the key innovations in Windows 7 is Device Stage, which brings together the formerly independent features of Epson's multifunction printers into one location, allowing users to see device status and run common tasks from a single window, thereby providing seamless device usability."
