The core target group of the UC application will be medium sized enterprises who want to enrich their corporate communications through modern and future-proof UC features, prefer a flexible cost model, and want access to secure and highly available services via a datacenter.

Tailored to the needs of SMEs

The decision to implement the hosted solution of the UC specialist Swyx, was one based on extensive market research.

"We reviewed the market of UC-enabled telephone systems thoroughly before eventually deciding on Swyxfor the extension of our DeutschlandLAN offering. It was important that we have a product that suits medium-sized customers within our modular product family DeutschlandLAN and with a cloud based UC solution we can offer the features and flexibility to meet the individual requirements of our customers. In short, Swyx precisely fulfills this criteria," explains Dirk Backofen, director of Marketing for business customers at Deutsche Telekom GmbH.

The inclusion of the UC-Software in the cloud portfolio of Telekom is also based on the long-standing and successful sales of the on-premise solution from Swyx: "We already have more than a ten year history, where we have together successfully established our UC solution in the market," said Dr. Ralf Ebbinghaus, CEO of Swyx Solutions AG. "The on-premise based UC Solution is an area in which we want to grow further together with Telekom, whilst the second is cloud for which I can see enormous potential."
