Dell's HPC end-to-end services bring latest high speed technology to the masses, available in mainstream products to all customers at an affordable price. It also removes the complexity, allowing for greater processing power for the available budget. Dell integrates best-of-breed servers and storage technologies with leading open source and middleware to deliver scalable platforms that give outstanding price/performance. Dell solutions are based on existing, validated architectures employing best practices that allow us to greatly reduce consultancy and implementation time.

According to Neeraj Gupta, GM-Public, Dell India, “Dell's HPC solutions use standard-based technology building blocks to maximize computational power while simplifying deployment, management and scalability. This solution is targeted at higher education institutes, scientists & academicians who are into high end research work. Our vision of empowering the education sector is also in line with the mission of the Andhra Pradesh Government to make higher education more relevant and purposeful and also to see that higher educational institutions impart skills and knowledge which are relevant to the emerging job market with a strong emphasis on technical and professional courses.”

This robust, high-speed computing resource rivals the performance of traditional proprietary supercomputers at a fraction of the cost, making more and more life-changing scientific breakthroughs either possible or expedited, which otherwise would get shelved or delayed because of lack of funds or because of technology complexity and skilled resource availability on each of the distinct proprietary platforms.

Depending upon needs, the magnitude of the research (like problem size, time to science, frequency of research and resource management) institutes and researchers often choose to go for HPC at various levels like divisional, workgroup, departmental and deskside.

Dell has solutions and answers to all these requirements based on specific challenges associated at each level. Dell has focused on driving open standard x86 based systems throughout its existence that has enabled our customers to reduce acquisition and operating cost of IT equipment.

They are now bringing the same focused approach to driving solutions like HPC. Dell will focus on standard based x86 hardware and a network of industry leading partners that enable their customers to build out a solution that can be installed quickly and operated efficiently and reliably allowing them to get the most for the investment and focus their energies on research.
