Dell aims to gain share in China and India

TAIPEI, CHINA: Dell Inc. said on Friday it aims to grow at or faster than the broader markets in China and India this year, as it continues to gain share in two of Asia's fastest-expanding markets.

Dell's head of small and medium businesses, Steve Felice, gave the outlook during a teleconference.

Dell posted a sharper-than-expected fall in quarterly revenue on Thursday as consumers bought cheaper personal computers and overall demand remained weak, but cost cuts helped profit beat Wall Street forecasts.
