NEW DELHI, INDIA: Minister of State for Telecommunication and Information Technology Jyotiraditya Scindia, said: "The decision on spectrum sharing would be taken in two months."
"The issue concerning spectrum sharing is in progress and a decision will be taken in the next two months," Scindia added on the sidelines of a telecom summit organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry here.
On the issue of foreign players being allocated 5 megahertz (MHz) spectrum in the 3G spectrum services, Scindia said the Department of Telecom was looking into the matter.
Foreign players have demanded additional spectrum and have told the government they would not be able to run 3G services with 5 MHz of spectrum.
