Day 1:Nasscom’s new logo to represent resurgent India

MUMBAI: India might have been well known once as one of the richest cultures

in the world, but in modern times it has unfortunately lagged behind. However,

the last decade has witnessed a new resurgence, primarily thanks to the

flourishing ICT industry.

India has today become the hottest investment destination for all global

players, be it in the IT or in the communication industry. And it has been

Nasscom who has been striving relentlessly to propagate the achievements of the

industry. In fact, to bring out the essence of the Indian resurgence via its ICT

industry, Nasscom has decided to design a new IT logo for their 2003 session in

Mumbai.

The new logo resembles one of the most revered icons of Indian mythology, the

Pandava prince Arjuna from Mahabharata. He is shown as an archer taking a

calculated aim. What an aesthetic way to bring out the message of the burgeoning

ICT industry steadfast in its aim to lead an Indian resurgence.
