BANGALORE: Damden Infotech, based in Bangalore has announced the launch of
their concept portal www.notakid.com. The
portal is addressed at ‘young adults’ below 18 years, and caters to a
segment that is individualistic, ambitious and comparatively more net savvy than
the adults.
Damden Infotech’s competencies lie in providing web solutions, IT training
and Internet project consultancy and the portal www.notakid.com
is the company’s flagship product, claims a company press release.
The primary focus of the portal is education, where it is more participatory
than the regular Q&A methodology adopted. The company also has plans to get
some of the best academicians in the country online, for students to interact.
Besides education, the portal would envelop topics like music, movies, important
news reports and recent science and technological breakthroughs, claims Damden.
Damden president and CEO Damla T. Mathew said, "We have always sought new
ways of addressing the needs of today’s society. This sense of responsibility
has initiated us to develop an extensive portal designed to interest India’s
future generation."
To reassure parents that their kin have a safe destination over the net, the
company plans to evaluate the contents and design by panel of teachers, parents
and students. Provision has been made to download some of the latest software
like cyber patrol, Surfwatch etc. to prevent the target segment from
accidentally accessing explicit material.
